I'm going the distance for clean water in South Sudan!
I'm lacing up my running shoes to go the distance for clean water this fall! My goal is to raise $2500 for Water is Basic by November 10th. This will go towards our team goal of $30,000 to drill 4 new wells for entire communities!
I've been there. In May I was fortunate to travel with the Water is Basic USA Team and see the work being done on the ground. I met the well technicians and rode on the truck with them. I was there when Water is Basic celebrated their 1000 water project and was honored to be able to pump the water from the new well for the Nuba Mountain people. I heard the shouts of celebration ,I saw the tears of joy and I heard the pleas for more help.
I want to use my voice and my feet to raise awareness for clean,safe drinking water, With it, communities are transformed. Please join me in this effort. Your gift of $ 6 provides water for an entire family. How many families will you help ?
Water is Basic is unique because it's a local organization, dreamt by South Sudanese and employed by South Sudanese. Their mission is to bring clean, safe water within reasonable access for every person in South Sudan. You can learn more about their work by visiting www.waterisbasic.org.
Would you join me and help me go the distance for clean water? Women and young girls walk long distances every day to access water from sources that will eventually make them sick. We can change that!
