10K For Water, Please Help Make This Day Easier By Supporting Our Goal!

Foundation United Methodist Church in Belton, TX set out to raise the funds to provide100 Sawyer Water Filters for people in South Sudan. They raised their goal to 250 with the following challenges from their pastor, Gary White: (Gary is a germaphobe!)

75% raised = Pastor Gary drinks filtered toilet water

100% raised = Pastor Gary and Water is Basic President, Steve Roese "#carry-the-jerry" from Foundation United Methodist Church to First United Methodist Church.

Then someone matched and, well, you get the picture...instead of 100 filters they raised money for 600! These guys really are going the distance.

Now on Sunday, October 29th, Gary and Steve will carry a 42 pound jerry can full of water From Foundation UMC to First United Methodist Church in Temple, TX. That's 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers each! Why? Cause 5 kilometers is the distance girls in South Sudan #CarryTheJerry daily in pursuit of water.

Pastor Gary and FUMC got crazy and now 600 households will filter out 99.999% of the bad stuff in water that kills.

Why stop at 600? We challenge YOU to help them go the distance even further and provide 600 more! Each filter package costs $20.00. Will you commit today to give a filter package in honor of their long day of #CarryTheJerry! Let's double the benefit of their walk, maybe it will halve their pain!
