Go the Distance for Clean Water!
Run, walk, cycle or hike... Go solo, join a team, bring your dogs or stroll your kids!
Whether you're doing a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving or walking a 5k with your children on Halloween, you can make a difference however you decide to go the distance this fall. Women and children in South Sudan walk long distances daily to get water that will ultimately make them sick. We can change that. Just let your friends and family know that you are going the distance so that others can have the basics of clean water. They will cheer you on as they support your efforts and feel good about doing some good in the world!
Cost to restore 1 well = $1250
Cost to restore 30 wells = $37,500
Our goal is for 30 individuals or teams to each go the distance for 1 well by November 30th.
Will you go the distance for clean water? We'll make the fundraising part easy for you and provide all of the tools that you'll need. Here is what you need to do!
- Create a fundraising page.
- Participate in a run/walk event (you can even walk around your neighborhood!)
- Utilize the online tools you'll have access to and share your cause with those you love
- Raise funds and awareness as you go the distance
- Share pictures of your efforts with the hashtags #gothedistanceWIB
- Celebrate LIFE because you have given the gift of clean water!
