I am fundraising for Water is Basic. I want to repair 2 wells to provide access to clean water.
Access to clean water means girls can go to school instead of walking for hours carrying water. Access to clean water saves children from dying from disease. Access to clean water is possible. Join me in supporting real change. Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us transform lives with the gift of clean water.
With civil war raging and thousands of South Sudanese fleeing their villages,Water is Basic conducted a "filter campaign"to provide access to clean water for the families on the move,but NOW those families are returning home to find their wells are in need of repair. Water is Basic is busy repairing abandoned wells at a rate of 2-3 per day.
Each well supports 2000 people ! The average cost of repair is $1250. So do the math ... $3.75 provides clean water for a family of 6 !
