In March, the world celebrates both World Water Day & Women's History Month.
But at Water is Basic, we celebrate women and water every day.
Women spend 200,000,000 hours every day in Africa seeking water for their families. We give them the tools and training to fix that.
This World Water Day, help us raise $15,000 to equip these History-Making Women with spare parts to repair wells for three months!
Through our Women's Well Repair Initiative, we are giving women, the primary water gatherers in Africa, the resources they need to repair wells themselves. We start with successful women entrepreneurs, then add in-depth business training, well-repair expertise, and well committee training.
